- The place is everything you need. Very well centralized to go places. Very well maintained. The owners are very accommodating to your needs. Perfect for larger groups or multi family vacations. Very comfortable and relaxing. Hope to visit again in the future!

Curtis6/28/2020We enjoyed the Wrangler's Roost! Very comfortable beds, very roomy private and shared areas, clean and well stocked, very clear instructions. So many delightful ways to spend time at Mountain View Lodge and in the Cortez/Durango area. We would definitely recommend this spot! 
Cathy9/17/2022JanElle's place feels so cozy! The rustic Americana vibe just makes you melt when you've been traveling all day. We had to make a last-minute reservation, but JanElle was super accomodating!

Brian8/05/2020Perfect for our one-night stay near Mesa Verde NP. Very quiet, private, and peaceful location near restaurants and stores. Super clean and very spacious with two separate bedrooms connected to a sitting area and private bathroom. Lots of amenities and the access to a full kitchen on the first floor was a huge plus - we used this stop to re-supply for the next leg of our cross country road trip. Dolores is a cool town with lots of interesting things to do and Cortez has all the stores and amenities travelers need. Host checked on us soon after arrival to see if we had any questions or needed anything - great stay! 
Tod7/17/2023Generally a good place to stay, however the headboard on the bed should be swapped out for a smaller one that allows the bed to sit against the wall as it is very small and feels too easy to fall off because of it not being against the wall. The ac unit is so loud that it's difficult to sleep through so I had to turn it off. the covers onthe bed are too small and made for a less than ideal nights sleep . the shower and bathroom are well maintained and easy to use. 
Jerry9/02/2023The Mountain Lodge was perfect for our family of 10. The accommodations and sleeping arrangements were outstanding. But most of all, we appreciate how welcoming JanElle was towards us and going above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. 100% recommend! 
Kathy11/27/2020Great setting and plenty of space. A little off the beaten path, but still close enough if you are going to Mesa Verde. It is worth it to have spacious rooms and activity options for the kids to run around and enjoy. They loved the tire swing and the game room. Clean & comfy. 
Jana3/25/2022We loved staying here! Dolores is such a fun, cute little town and the house was situated in a great spot for seeing all the sights we wanted to hit.
The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathrooms were extremely well stocked and there was plenty of extra bedding and things all around. The kids LOVED the toy room and we loved that we could shut the door and get some peace and quiet while they played. They spent most of the time on the playground, tire swing, or watching for deer on the porch. We had plenty of space in the kitchen (2 large tables), and loved that we could have a space for each family we were traveling with. We spent delightful evenings on the porch, and would love to return.
The only thing on our wish list that was missing was a washer and dryer.

Raven6/27/2020We rented the entire place for a gathering of family and friends to celebrate a 90th birthday, hosting about 25 people. The place was perfect for the occasion. Lots of room and well equipped. The view is spectacular. The suites are large , clean and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 days and the location is great, it's a short drive to Cortez or Dolores or Mesa Verde NP. Lots of things to do. This place is an exceptional value. 
William1/18/2022This was the first time we have tried an air b n’ b with a shared space. The home was spacious, and the suite we stayed in was large enough to spread out. There was another family there that we shared the kitchen with. The space was plenty big enough to share. We appreciated that there were two kitchen tables, so we could all sit down and eat. The game room was great, my kids loved the ping pong. We would definitely stay again!

Daniel4/12/2022 - Great ranch location outside of Cortez. We stayed in the wranglers roost room(s) which had two private and one semi-private bedrooms. Clean and comfortable space. Shared kitchen space, which worked for us, but no other guests really used it that week.

Dominic11/06/2023We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is spacious and comfortable. We had 10 people in our group and we definitely could have fit a few more comfortably. There are even some futons and pull out couches if you need to cram in a few more beyond that.
The hosts were very helpful when needed. The view is amazing. The yard was fun for the kids to play in. They loved the tire swing! We loved that each suite had its own sitting area and TV. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely try to get back for another stay someday. 
Laurie4/18/2022The place was absolutely perfect for our needs - a suite of rooms that easily slept mom & dad & 3 full grown kids comfortably - could have even fit 2 more in a pinch! Breakfast was amazing! The view from the front porch is beautiful. We were just sorry we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the ping pong, corn hole & foosball! 
Scott5/24/2020Great space to enjoy a great place. Located in a quiet farm community you are still only 20 minutes from the Mesa Verde park entrance, 7 minutes from one of Phil’s World mountain biking trailheads, and just a few minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores including a Walmart. At the home we enjoyed watching the deer and blue birds, playing games in the large kitchen space, and the kids loved the tire swing and toys. There was a lot of space for having private areas and plenty of beds. The beds were relatively comfortable and the home was clean. Our biggest pros were location and amount of space and our only complaints were small toilets, no smoke detectors we could see, and a couple rooms that were hard to cool. The hosts are phenomenal and answered all our questions quick and easy. You should know that there are others that live in the building but the space is well separated and you won’t even know they are there. Their accommodations are completely separate. I would recommend you consider this space if you are bringing a large family and especially if you want moderately separate spaces for multiple families.

Viviana9/08/2023This place is in a great location! Currently seeing some renovations, but quite the ample space and great for large groups. There are some other tenants on property and no washer/dryer. However, the big open space on the main floor is very enjoyable and a great view out the front!
