Brandie7/18/2021Great casual place for the family. Enjoyed the large common area especially the porch with its view of the mountains. My daughter loved the ping pong and foos ball tables in the game room. JanElle was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was yummy.

I booked at the last minute, but JanElle and her family were so welcoming and accommodating. The place is close to Mesa Verde NP, but you could come here just for a vacation.
Located on a large property (farm?) there are sweet touches like bottled water and snacks in each suite, a game room and kitchen. In the common area and even a tire swing outside for the kids. We saw deer across the street last night and a million stars.
The hosts were also incredibly helpful in recommending local restaurants and breakfast was amazing.
We stumbled on this listing out of necessity, and will be back by choice. You won’t be disappointed.

Sultan8/19/2021Wranglers Roost, past the kitchen and living area and upstairs to Wranglers Roost. Got those place because it had seperate bedrooms for a friend and I. There's another tiny bed that's tucked away at the corner of the main living space. Bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. Bathroom was great and full of towels. One of the bedroom has a small living area with tv and mini fridge. The house sits on the outer skirts of town so drive into city is about 10 mins.

Roshan9/23/2023The hosts are very kind and friendly, making you feel at home during the stay. The common area downstairs is a nice touch as it gives the opportunity to interact with other guests while you make coffee (should you so choose). The view is incredible with a patio to sit on while you look over the valley. 
Kelsey9/26/2020We had an wonderful trip. The house is very nice and spacious, lots of room to move around. The Owners are amazing and gave some great local food recommendations. We were taking a snowboarding trip in Colorado and the this house was an amazing place to relax at after coming back from the mountain. Cole1/03/2022This place was perfect! Super spacious area. Malia3/19/2021Perfect for our one-night stay near Mesa Verde NP. Very quiet, private, and peaceful location near restaurants and stores. Super clean and very spacious with two separate bedrooms connected to a sitting area and private bathroom. Lots of amenities and the access to a full kitchen on the first floor was a huge plus - we used this stop to re-supply for the next leg of our cross country road trip. Dolores is a cool town with lots of interesting things to do and Cortez has all the stores and amenities travelers need. Host checked on us soon after arrival to see if we had any questions or needed anything - great stay!

Samantha3/24/2020We were a large group of 14. When we arrive at Mountain View Lodge everything was ready the lights were even on. The lodge is so curly decorated. We were four families and had enough rooms for each family. The kids were able to run around in the large yard, play games in the games room. When asked what they wanted to do they replied play. There was even a tree swing which the kids loved. Our stay their was relaxing and very peaceful. Mountain View Lodge is a hidden gem. The scenery was amazing! JoaElle was a wonderful host. This is a place I would love to return to. Thank you for a great vacation!

Mandie7/04/2020Great ranch location outside of Cortez. We stayed in the wranglers roost room(s) which had two private and one semi-private bedrooms. Clean and comfortable space. Shared kitchen space, which worked for us, but no other guests really used it that week.

Abigail8/25/2020The place was absolutely perfect for our needs - a suite of rooms that easily slept mom & dad & 3 full grown kids comfortably - could have even fit 2 more in a pinch! Breakfast was amazing! The view from the front porch is beautiful. We were just sorry we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the ping pong, corn hole & foosball!

Dominique5/14/2020Great setting and plenty of space. A little off the beaten path, but still close enough if you are going to Mesa Verde. It is worth it to have spacious rooms and activity options for the kids to run around and enjoy. They loved the tire swing and the game room. Clean & comfy.

Mike8/17/2021This place was awesome. Great location for Mesa Verde. Plenty of room for 6 people, 2 private rooms, and a great common room downstairs. Also a really cool mountain view from the front porch with some chairs. Nice and quiet, very clean, would highly recommend!
